Landscape Design Workshop celebrates in the Design Awards Gala
(Boca Raton, Florida – October 14, 2021) Landscape Design Workshop celebrated an Award of Honor in the 2021 ASLA Florida Design Awards Gala. Landscape Design Workshop has won the design award in the Residential category for their project AMLI MidTown Miami. The 6.6-acre site is located in the City of Miami, Florida; this pedestrian friendly project accommodates over 700 apartments in 3 separate mid-rise buildings.
AMLI MidTown Miami is an urban transformation of a former rail yard, replacing a blighted area of the city with a vibrant new pedestrian-friendly community. The complex is large, spanning three city blocks in the heart of Miami, yet the lush landscape is dominant. The outdoor spaces spread over multiple levels, connecting the three buildings together. The power of landscape at AMLI MidTown lies in the set of spaces strung along the complex that create a whole experience, linking residents to the city while also giving them moments of respite.
“When we started this project we were interested in the idea of enjoyment of the outdoors, the idea of exploration and what I like to call the eco-system of urban spaces” said Erez Bar-Nur, founder & lead designer of Landscape Design Workshop. "This project was a labor of love and I would like to thank all the people that participated in this journey”.
