January 11, 2025

(Downtown Miami, Florida – January 11, 2025) A 45-story mixed-use development, First & Fifth, has been submitted to Miami’s Urban Development Review Board (UDRB) for approval. The 530-foot-tall tower is planned for 49 NW 5th Street and 50 NW 6th Street in Miami’s Overtown neighborhood. The project will incorporate the historically designated Salvation Army Citadel building alongside new construction. The UDRB will consider plans for the project on January 15.

The project is being developed with sustainability goals, aiming for National Green Building Standard (NGBS) Gold certification. The project benefits from its location near major transit options, including Brightline, Metrorail, and Metro mover stations, as well as nearby educational, governmental, and cultural landmarks. The design enhances the streetscape while maintaining an inviting pedestrian experience.
