PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Landscape Design Workshop transformed the arrival experience for Château Beach Residences, an elegantly curved oceanfront tower in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. The design draws inspiration from the nearby beach sand dunes and the elegant teak wood decks of yachts, blending natural beauty with maritime sophistication.

The proposed façade design, inspired by the undulating forms of the sand dunes, features elegant sandstone cladding that captures the natural beauty of the coastal landscape. Seizing the opportunity to transform an unattractive garage door into something extraordinary, it has been reimagined as a sculptural element. This change not only complements the stainless-steel sculpture above but also creates a harmonious and visually captivating entryway.

The vehicular entry sequence incorporates plank pavers designed to evoke the look of teak wood decking on a yacht, providing a seamless and sophisticated transition from land to sea-inspired architecture.

The planting design for Château Beach Residences harmonizes with the coastal environment, utilizing native, wind, and salt spray-resistant species to ensure resilience and sustainability. These hardy plants, coupled with native grasses, reinforce the sail ship/yacht motif, creating a seamless blend of nature and nautical elements. Unique sculptural specimen plantings add a striking visual element, transforming the landscape into a living gallery that complements the architectural elegance of the residence.
