PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Located near Miami's Central Station, First & Fifth is 45-story mixed-use tower blending historical charm with modern amenities. The proposed landscape is designed to elevate the pedestrian experience, create a dialogue with the architectural language of the building, and pay homage to the existing historic structure.

The pedestrian experience is enriched by a tree canopy that creates a shaded microclimate; additionally, dynamic paving patterns add an engaging visual feature. Trees are strategically aligned with the architectural elements at street level, while sinuous paving patterns draw inspiration from the arched portico of the historic structure. For the historic portico, re-claimed antique brick pavers are used to create a visual and tactile link between the past and present.
