PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The 40-acre training campus is home to the Barça Residency Academy, a partnership between FC Barcelona, the world-renowned soccer club, and Grande Sports World. The campus is located adjacent to the historic Francisco Grande Hotel & Golf Resort. It is FC Barcelona’s only U.S. Soccer Development Academy program with a full-time residential program. Grande Sports World modernizes the training experience with the newest, most complete campus-style setting in the nation. Its state-of-the art facilities foster excellence in individual and team development while providing the ideal venue for professional and collegiate training camps. Academy players have access to the state-of-the-art Grande Sports World amenities with dorms, soccer fields, training facilities and on-site high school overseen by Arizona State University.
Landscape Design Workshop provided numerous master planning and programming studies. Program elements include soccer/football fields, running track, Olympic-size pool, therapy pools, tennis courts, performance training building, academy dormitory, residential units and ample event parking.
