Hyatt Coconut Plantation
Coastal town of Bonita Springs
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Hyatt Coconut Plantation, located in the coastal town of Bonita Springs, spans 33 scenic acres. At the heart of this resort lies a vibrant water park, featuring a lazy river, multiple swimming pools, playgrounds, shade structures, and social spaces offering diverse lounging experiences. As part of an ongoing long-term project, the resort will include 13 three-story timeshare buildings, with the most recent building completed in 2018 and the latest improvements finalized in 2022.
Surrounded by the Saltleaf Golf Preserve and Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve, the perimeter landscape is native, seamlessly blending with the natural surroundings. Moving towards the center of the resort, the plant palette becomes more diverse with Florida-friendly pollinator plants and shade trees. Lush plantings around the lazy river, with its iconic rope bridge, amplify the resort's vibrant tropical theme, offering a captivating and immersive experience for the guests.
Use the idea of “gradients of nature” native edge slowly turning into a more resort-oriented plant palette in the center of the development.
