(Miami, Fla. – July 8, 2021) Landscape Design Workshop has won a 2021 Florida Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects design award in the Residential category for their project AMLI MidTown Miami. The 6.6-acre site is located in the City of Miami, Florida; this pedestrian friendly project accommodates over 700 apartments in 3 separate mid-rise buildings.
AMLI MidTown Miami is an urban transformation of a former rail yard, replacing a blighted area of the city with a vibrant new pedestrian-friendly community. The complex is large, spanning three city blocks in the heart of Miami, yet the lush landscape is dominant. The outdoor spaces spread over multiple levels, connecting the three buildings together. The power of landscape at AMLI MidTown lies in the set of spaces strung along the complex that create a whole experience, linking residents to the city while also giving them moments of respite.
